Cheryl Parma, DVM
Dr. Parma is a 1990 graduate of Texas A&M University. A native of San Antonio, she came to Houston immediately after graduation with the thought that she would be here a few years and return to the Hill Country. Then in 1993, along came the offer to purchase Stella Link and she decided to stay. She has long had an interest in small exotic pet medicine and has owned numerous exotics throughout her life, including snakes, bird, mice, rats, and hamsters. She is mother to human daughter Stephanie, as well as doggie daughters Slinky and Ginger. Dr. Parma also enjoys being talked back to by her 3 birds, Cosmo, Pancho and Merlin.
Dr. Ron is from Maryland, receiving his B.A. in 1981 from Johns Hopkins University and his D.V.M. from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (Virginia Tech) in 1986. He enjoys preventative medicine, internal medicine, dentistry and general soft tissue surgery in dogs and cats. Dr. Ron imagines what his patients are thinking and often speaks for them during examinations. He’s married and the proud father of two teen-aged boys and a houseful of pets. Dr. Ron is also a pretty good Spanish speaker.
